AUSTRALIAN NIGHT VISION & AUSTRALIAN SHOOTING SERVICES.
Yes, we are still the same, but the night vision section now has its own web site.
"AUSTRALIAN NIGHT VISION" is the Night Vision section of the well
established "AUSTRALIAN SHOOTING SERVICES" (EST. 1995), who
are authorized and PREMIER Australian importers & distributors of the GENERAL STARLIGHT COMPANY INCORPORATED, professional,
ITAR FREE, thermal and image intensifying products.
Although the products available here are often assumed to be for "Government Only" purchase, they are COMPLETELY LEGAL for private purchase and use within Australia.
Yes, we are still owned and operated by the same Australian personnel, who
as contractors use the same Thermal Imaging and Image Intensifying devices available from this site.
Being operational users involved with feral animal control, and using various models of image intensifying and thermal imaging equipment, including the
TWS "Elite" series thermal scopes, we take pride in the fact we can genuinely provide a prospective client with information and details about the various products, and the differences, rather than blindly quoting from a specification sheet and hoping you understand.
(Which unfortunately, is all most night vision "retailers" are able to provide.)
PLEASE NOTE ! We DO NOT and WILL NOT list consumer devices as PROFESSIONAL or MILITARY devices unlike some Australian suppliers.
Or fill our web site with the Chinese items currently flooding into Australia, as these products can hardly be considered other than consumer level products, especially as a number of problems are so well known.
Be aware that some thermal rifle scopes commonly available, have some serious problems that you only find after you have outlaid your money.
Most re-sellers, even those who are aware of a situation, are reluctant to admit to this.
Australian Night Vision specializes in high performance "controlled" professional / law enforcement THERMAL IMAGING & IMAGE INTENSIFYING devices.
While they may appear expensive, they provide far better value for your money than the cheaper brands of devices.
The purchase of entry level Gen 1 and even Gen 2 image intensifying items are not recommended due to their limited performance.
The commonly available basic digital "night vision" equipment is also not recommended because of it's extremely high requirement for additional IR light.
None of these types of products, Generation 1, Gen 2 or Digital, will ever provide acceptable results under normal "working" conditions.
Even for recreational use, no less than genuine commercial grade items, preferably professional grade products should be considered, as the performance of lower grade products will never produce satisfactory results in the field, or guarantee long life.
Australian Shooting Services is registered with Border Force (Australian Customs) and Defense Export Controls, Reg. No. 864635D, for the import and export of controlled items.
AUSTRALIAN NIGHT VISION Conducts "workshops" at no cost* for interested parties as required.
A presentation and discussion session explains the different types of devices commonly available, as well as all the aspects of "seeing" in the dark.
Then, to actually view what can be seen at night by using a selection of thermal and image intensifying items from consumer to professional level.
